2 years ago I didn't cry after knowing that I did not qualify as Cumlaude in AdDU. I was really meticulous on my grade that I kept on computing it until the last quarter of school. I thought I qualified... base on my computation, but when the list of the Cums was released, I did not see my name. So, I asked the registrar that time if what is their basis... Then I was told that the NSTP grade was not included in the computation which was graded numeric in our cards. It was okay with me... I have accepted the fact that I could have missed around 0.2 (estimation). Being part of the Cumlaude in the Nursing Division of AdDU is REALLY REALLY REALLY hard... The basis of our grades is purely academic, Extra Curricular Activities are not included... plus the fact that our Comprehensive Exams were pulling us down. A lot of factors in the computation is like intended to fail students... That is why, getting a Cumlaude is a HUGE achievement.
Why am I talking about this... Can't I move on??
Because yesterday, I requested in the registrar a certificate of WPA as part of my requirement in the hospital I am intending to apply. There I realized that I got an average of 88.8%. Cumlaude in AdDU is 89%.... WWAAAAAHHHH!!! My estimation was correct.. =(( And all I want to do is cry at that moment. If only I have begged one of my teachers to do something... But I guess they won't. They are very strict on this matter... but IF ONLY! One lesson I have learned is that if only I have spent more time in my academics than extra curricular, It may have made a difference... =(
"Achieving something" and "closely achieving something" have HUUUGGGEEE distinction!
SIGH!
I could have begged!
