the case of the INTIMIDATING WOMAN...

I've read an article from my newly bought COSMOPOLITAN ish (September issue) which was about intimidating women, aka. man eaters! The article struck me for the reason that I somewhat felt before that I quite intimidate others, men most especially. =(

What are the attributes they consider as intimidating.. you might want to check yourself.. :)

1) the BOSS: Cosmo mentioned that most men and women are afraid of the BOSS.. Maybe because she projects an independent aura which seems needless of a man. The ideal traits of leadership (opinionated, loud, strong)that are always projected by the female boss shoos men away. Though we believe that most people like her is an inspiration, a leader, and a known successful individual who is capable of giving a good family life, but most men are not looking for a leader in their lives rather a simple partner who is capable of giving his needs.

2) the Rich Kid (Daddy's credit cards always save the day): Men who feel lesser fortunate than some girls would surely feel intimidated by a girl who seems to have everything in the world. This is the reason (though not proven by research..lol) why some men tend to look for partners who have the same financial status as them (student-student, engineer-nurse, boss-boss, doctor-doctor, manang-manong). Men are known as the providers, and if they think that a woman is too high maintenance for them, then they back off. It is expected by today's society that men should cope with the financial demands of a family and inability to provide such is a down slope for men's sense of manhood.

3) The Temptress (Even women can't believe that a beauty like her exists): If you will be with this kind of girl, expect that A LOOOOT of people (man, woman, gay, lesbo) will have their eyes locked on you throughout your dates... She is a total head turner... And being with this kind of woman scares men away. Most men are scared of the attention, or the breeze of critiques that he will be facing. Though it is perceived as a trophy for some, but most men who are not secure enough know where to place their selves in the societal class. Take for example, a man courting Paris Hilton??

4) The Aggressive (The weak-willed doesn't have a place in her heart): It maybe a total turn-off for some men if a girl is loud, aggressive and opinionated because the society has been viewing women as subservient. The femme women can make a man jitter expecting this kind of woman will jar his ego along the way.

5) The Intellectual (Watch out: her superwoman IQ will dominate the world): They say that the higher the woman's IQ is, the less likely she'll marry. Maybe it is because most men are comfortable in the position of dominance and a smart woman will surely grab the spotlight away from him. This then pushes men in a panic state. Blame it on the conditioning of our society! lol.

You are maybe one of these...

the point is, you might be curious why it is too difficult for you to find the right one, or maybe have wondered why no one has been asking you out, then check yourself cause you might have intimidated them. Personally, I believe that this doesn't mean you have to alter yourself. By knowing who you are, you will also know who is the person who deserves you- the secure, courageous, witty man.
