The girl who is on a limbo

by: Tammy Sulit

Lass yearning vindication, trapped in memento
wandering in an alcove of malady, scraping her soul
leeway to elude, doors are unlocked
Deliberately she sulks on that trap

Knights with armor extricated her highness
Bestowing glory, lit the sorrowful darkness
She's blind, blunt, bleak..... self-bamboozling
Casting torments, woe romanticizing

Redeemed from agony, this lass can't be
She builds her own chamber, vanishes her own key

The return of the Manila girl! :D

Spending two lovely days in Manila.

My Manila experience is one of the great moments i have early this year. I was in Manila late last year but this visit is different since I get to enjoy the stay with my mom and sis. It didn't turn out how I wanted it to be (like trying the cinema and ice skating) because of our preference differences but still it was jovial and fun. SHOPPING is the best word to coin in. =)

PLACES:
* MOA (Pasay)
* Baclaran
* Star City
* Laguna
* Makati

Best MOMENTS:

* twice kotong
* Mrs. Fields blooper
* the creepy hotel
* baclaran shopping, I brought them to the place I shopped last year but upon arriving the stores are already close... T_T
* The 500 taxi fare from Airport to MOA
* Star City adventure that is still close in the morning
* The walk marathon in MOA
* Kain dito kain doon
* The Makati shopping experience while everyone is haggard

THE DAY- KOOL LAB recognition day!

Pop and Lock, Isolation, B-boy, Tatting... these are few of the best moves flaunted at the Kool Lab Recognition Day today. Dancers have truly evolved, and its evolution has turned the craft from good to AMAZING!

The Groove Unlimited Dance Community (GUDC) of Davao City has been constantly materializing its vision of unifying dance crews here in Davao City, and in order to put it in reality, they have been organizing events for dance crews to be involved. One of which is the KOOL LAB project. This project was open to all interested dancers and newbies in dancing. Known and varied choreographers from the community who master different styles in dancing were given slots in the dance floor as facilitators of a class. Workshops usually happen on saturdays at Metro Lifestyle.

Today, these choreographers and their students are evaluated and those who deserve recognition will be rewarded. The event is hold at CAP AUDITORIUM. Dancers flock the venue minutes before it begins. Obvious as it is, the audience is excited on what will transpire in the program. The show consists of the following: dance battles of B-boy and Pop&Lock dancers, performances from selected GUDC crews, recognition and awarding of the best choreographers, most attended class, outstanding students, best attendance, best select group, etc. (LOL, our group got an award ^^,) The program ends by a photo shoot participated by all members.

GUDC is more than a collection of groups, it is a unified community portraying a vision slowly molded in reality. =)

A Very KOOL LAB

HI!!!

I'll attend the recognition day of KOOL LAB later today.

The affair is organized by the GUDC president, Mr. Bryan Grandeza, who is consistent in working its vision of organizing the varied dance crews here in Davao City. KOOL LAB is a weekly dance workshop which began early January and will be closed later today through a well prepared dance programme. Awards and recognitions will be given to those who joined the workshops. (My friend Noree Militar was nominated as one of the best students. KUDOS to her.. ^_^) I am excited to witness their recognition and feel great to be invited as one of the photographers of the event.

I was able to attend 2 of the classes of this workshop. Got some snapshots... take a look...=)

Hope you can attend later guys! CAP AUDITORIUM, 3:30 pm (March 7, 2010) SEE YOU!!!

A simple desire- Make you smile everyday!! ^_^

I am a huge fan of love stories and fairy tales.
Which are epitomes of perfect relationships.
I've been wondering for years if mushy embraces and sparkling eyes are real.
And if hugs and kisses can mean more than how we connote them.
I've been day dreaming of a love story that will make me fall deeply that even if I gasp for air
I will still choose to be breathless.
I want to fall madly in LOVE!
And then you came...

My idealisms of love were transformed, philosophies tested and insights of paradise made real.
I learned honesty, tolerance and altruism in the nicest way to learn them.
I encountered the true essence of togetherness.
And realized that LOVE is spontaneous- unplanned, can't be forseen, unpredictable.
I felt LOVE and was tangled in its passionate nature.
I fell in LOVE and want to keep falling FOREVER.

The delight brought by LOVING you is the greatest treasure I am holding now.
The jovial moments I have with you are savored every moment I stop and think.
The forces around just keep my head lead back to you.
And my restless heart keeps bouncing and skipping when you are around.
I've been having the greatest time in my life starting you get around me.

So please take care of my heart... As I take care of yours.
Cause this is real and will never want it wasted.

In the days to come, there is only one aim I want to achieve..
That is to make you smile everyday! ^_^
But I will still try to prove that love stories and fairy tales can be real...
Mushy embraces and sparkling eyes can be made true
That hugs and kisses mean more...
That I can be breathless...
But one thing is already proven-
I am already madly in LOVE with you! =P ♥

Tinuy-an Falls and Enchanted River, Surigao

OHHH YEAAAHHH!!!

Tinuy-an Falls and Enchanted river in Surigao City are two outstanding areas that you guys shouldn't miss when you visit Surigao. I was marveled with Tinuy-an's layered falls and Enchanted River's 160 feet blue water. I never thought that these scenery are real until I saw it in my very own eyes of course. Well, won't be reiterating more details... just check it in WIKI for more details. =) But will surely share to you my photos of the place. =) Hope you'll be struck on it as well.

GIBO TEODORO and Green Team Davao

Green Team Davao is working for this stand:

We are green team who have united to help Secretary Gilbert "GIBO" Teodoro get elected President.

WE will ensure that every voter knows his platform and plans for our country, and help people get to the polling places to cast their ballot.

In lieu with this, I was assigned to host our first assembly with the mounted programme: BAKTAS PARA KAY GIBO, BAKTAS PARA SA KALAMBUAN. With me is Ms. Concha Arandia, a close friend of mine, who is also strongly supporting Gibo Teodoro for presidency.

The event started @ 6:00 in the morning with a short orientation on what will transpire on the walk. After which, the supporters started walking bringing with them a strong heart for the candidate. Good to see that Gibo was being replicated well with the smart and willed aura of his supporters. Green shirts were filling up the place. People who participated represented the different sectors of our society- students, professionals, indigenous people, etc. The event was then followed by a short programme composed with a series of talks from the sectors mentioned above. This was the portion I flaunt my emcee skills... LOL. Well, everything went well! =)

To sum it up, GREEN BALLOONS were freed in the air... hahay... showing that green team, as Gibo's supporters, will surely be flying high in its goal of pushing Gibo in the seat. =)

Good Luck guys!!! I am so proud of you!

An EGETISH meet-up

YIPEEEEE...

After a long wait, the day finally came!!!

I had a meet-up with the egeters today (Queenie Roldan, Roaxanne Mante, Juna Panzo, Dottie Montojo, Noreen Sorongon, Valerie Jucutan) at Picobello, JS Gaisano! Well, the group was not complete since some egets can't make it but still we had a wonderful bonding moment. Reminicing the bloopers during college and updating ourselves with life experiences we are dealing with now. It was a pretty long conversation which was wrapped up with an impromptu exchange gift. Some members need to buy their gift in between the celebration since they haven't wrapped anything yet (that includes me.. LOL).

It was an eget day... and I am looking forward to have more eget days soon!!! Love you guys! ^_^

BLOOPERS:

(reminiscing her kuripot moment sa college- loaf bread)

@ everyone: atat na pumunta sa hong kong this summer.... after hearing the free hotel stuff... sa dihangggg... ASA INYO PASSPORTSSS??? hehehe...

Modographer: Model or Photographer???

It's Sunday (July 19 2009), sharp 1:00 pm...

My cam is ready to take great shots of the models we have for today. The photoshoot will be held at an abandoned building in Bajada Street. Theme? .. GANGSTER!!!!

The team D40 (Raphael, Kiev, Gemini, Kieve's friend and me) will be the photographers for the day. Our group name is derived after the Nikon camera we all own.

Before the event, I and Raphael decided to meet at victoria plaza and go to the location together... We ate lunch since we haven't had one. And I had a short tutorial with Raph regarding camera setting.. which was actually so cool since I have learned new insights from him. ^^ Thanks Raph!!!!

In the mid of our conversation, it was interupted with the news that the models for the shoot backed out since they got so drunk the night before and had hangover that time. T_T

It was really funny yet a disappointing news... The dilemma was to pursue or not to pursue the shoot. All are ready except that we don't have models to shoot! LOL!

Raphael...then "kindly" asked me if I can replace the models. I think it was also mentioned that Kiev's friend will also take place as a model so that I can take photographs. Given the nice agreement.. I agreed. Since all our preparation will be put to waste if nobody will give in.

We arrived in the area. The place was really cool... :D However, my impromptu outfit didn't look gangsterish (if such word exists! LOL). But it was okay for them...

So the shoot went on... For my poses.. I thank America's Next TOP model who gave me creative ideas on how to strike a pose. LOL...

The feeling was really weird! It was my first time to do a "pseudophotoshoot" since my previous experiences were just products of peer vanity nothing more nothing less... I was conscious of my face, body, hair, eyes... probably everything. Pose here.. Pose there.. pose everywhere!!! @_@
The shoot ended.. and I have to leave early since I got another appointment that day.. bye guys...

After then I realized that I didn't had any shots for that day..:( but maybe it was meant for me to learn and experience posing so that I can effectively direct models I'll be shooting in the future. That way.. I have learned one character of a photographer... "empathy"-->stepping on other's (model) shoes! LOL.

P.S. Ate Gemini had her own story to tell...:P

Jayven's 3rd Birthday

JAYVEN's BIRTHDAY!!!

Ever felt the "god mother" feeling?

you might have felt it couple of times, but for me last tuesday was my first time to really nurture the idea. For 3 years, I never thought that I
was his god mother... LOL. Until last week when my high school best friend Vanessa mentioned that I am. WHAAAATTT? I am @_@?

I was invited to his 3rd birthday to be held at their hub. Everything was exciting for me... aside that I get to meet him... I'll be seeing my high school close friends after years of hidding from them (not literally). It just happens that I get preoccupied most of the time. :(
So the day came... I brought with me a paper bag with my gift inside. And when the cab I'm riding parked in front of their house... Yells and laughters then bombard the place!!!
WAAAAAAAAAAA.... it was a jovial moment. can't help but to hug them TIGHT ^^...

As for Jayeven.. I think he's too young to notice me. The last time I visited them was when Vanessa was still carrying him on her womb. duh....

The day ended with a farewell.. but it was trully a wonderful event for us. Hope that our travel plans will come true... Hope to see you soon guys!
