Admission Vacation

Getting sick is definitely a halting event. But for my Kuya A, he sees it more as time for relaxation than a weakening experience.

Last night, we brought my Kuya A to Davao Doctors Hospital because of a moderate leg pain caused by gouty arthritis. He's been complaining about this for a week now, yet this is the perfect time for him to be admitted because he does not have work. According to him, he will use his hospital privileges with the use of his MAXICARE. He was even boasting about this health insurance card matching with glee as detected. Well that's my kuya, despite the agony, he still finds comfort.

What struck me from his statements is this "Tam, ang room na nacover naa cable and ref?". "Paki-check daw?". LOL, Never thought that a patient experiencing pain could still think about his room. LOL. I love the ADMISSION VACATION mindset! But even though my kuya is acting like a tourist throughout, I like how he manages to be strong given an ugly scenario.

So here I am, doing some nursing stuffs to him. Never thought that my family would rely so much on what I can do, especially now that I already passed the exam. *sigh* Questions then pop in my mind. One of these is my "capacity to be an effective nurse", can I actually be one?

I hope so, cause honestly, I was not able to take a good nap last night!

Good morning!

SAINTS + Gil, Alfred and I reunion

February 20, 2009

Cristyl is here in Davao... at the same time, the results of the NLE exam was released, and I found out that Valerie and I passed. So there's no way that I will not enjoy this night! But my greatest dilemma is ...I ONLY HAVE 17 PESOS IN MY BAG (since my wallet was lost and I haven't bought a replacement yet!) HUHUHU!!!

Honestly, I am so restless for 3 hours, I searched for ways (or person, lol) where I can borrow money... Unfortunately, all of the people in our house are poor... PITY ME. I really felt sad... and hopeless... and then, without shame, i asked for help from my "it's complicated X boyfriend" and he offered help as well as a ride to the place where I will meet my high school friends. But, he needs to finish his basketball game with his friends first. He told me if I can wait til 9:00pm? hmmm.. I can, but, my mom will arrive that time, so i guess I won't need his money anymore... hahaha...

So what happened... My mom arrived at exactly 9:00pm and she gave me money.... (huge in fact), I returned some of it... because i think it was too much... And she did not insist!! WAAAA... drama pa kasi... hahaha... baitbaitan kuno! hahaha... Then my dad offered a ride to Torres... And I arrived at Cubyertos... hahaha ... as usual LATE!!!

My career Path

I thought after I pass the local board exam... it will make my mom elated with happiness and pride... But this day started with arguments. YES... ARGUMENTS on my career path...

These past days, I'm applying as VIRTUAL ASSISTANT in an IT outsourcing company... well, to be honest... it is kindda incoherent with my College degree, but I like it... I feel passionate about it. That kind of mindset pissed my mom... she wanted me to immediately look for jobs that are related to my course... Well, I can't blame her... this was her chosen course for me...

I like nursing(no question about it) but I love computers too...

So what happened?

The discussion ended with this solution...I'll pursue my application to the job, then, I will review for NCLEX at the same time and take masteral classes on weekends! LOL... Sounds impossible right? But guys, I believe I can do it... with God's grace I will!

Parrtteeiii... til you drop...

This is the right moment to have a huge celebration for the success we achieved. WE PASSED THE NLE EXAM!... And of course, there's no reason not to go wild(or at least partei...) to show our gratefulness... Because of this... I went to a series of e-a-t-i-n-g making my tummy overly distended when I went home...

So here's a timeline of the events I've been..

12:30-2:00---> PIZZA HUT Gaisano Mall... I ate 1 bbq ribs rice toppings, 1 lasangna, 1 slice of pizza....
(This is a family treat from my MOM... tsk3... Quite expensive)

4:00-4:30---> CHOWKING NCCC Mall...I ate my favorite 1 half dozen halo-halo...
(I waited for dottie to arrive)

6:00-7:00---> MANDARIN Victoria Plaza...I ate Beef Ampalaya Rice
(I was with Jeff and Dottie...we were waiting for Noreen to arrive unfortuntely...she cant come early as always... But Juna and Queenie came) 8:00-9:30---> JICKONGS Torres... I drank and ate 3 pieces bbq, 2 slices pizza, 2 vodka shots, 1 pineapple juice
(This was a mini reunion of 4F, around 20 people was around)

10:00-12:00--->ZETS PIZZA Bonifacio... I drank 1 mango juice, ate 1 slice of pizza, french fries
(still part of the reunion)

So there it was... a day filled with laughter and FFFOOODD... But most of all, a day of thanksgiving for the graces and blessings of God! At the end of the day... though I am already sleepy and tired... and full... We should never forget that the success we reached will never be possible without God's guidance and intervention!

Goodnight RNs!
